EXTRA INFORMATION
Additional details about the skid and trailer chassis include a specialized lifting and tilting mechanism designed for the MLS structure. The mast or boom utilizes two rams and rods positioned vertically and horizontally, mounted on a turntable with a hydraulic cylinder capable of rotating 90 degrees above ground. A three-piece horizontal arm extends hydraulically to position the three signal generators above desired lanes. Positioned at the rear of the chassis is the crash absorber. The setup and takedown process for these components can be completed within a maximum time frame of 4 minutes.
OPTIONAL
- Four-lane system with a 4th mast/signal matrix that is partly hydraulic and manually retractable.
- 100 km/h crash cushion mounted on the trailer unit.
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
POWER / HYDRAULIC SYSTEM:
The power and hydraulic systems of the Mobile Lane Signaling (MLS) unit feature integrated lockable enclosures housing both the generator and hydraulic unit, accessible behind secure doors. Driving these systems is a 2-cylinder water-cooled diesel engine, equipped with an increased sump for sustained operation. The MLS operates autonomously, maintaining noise levels outside the unit below 65 dBA for a minimum of two weeks. A fuel tank with level measurement and metering capability is located within a secure control compartment, allowing front-access refueling. Additionally, an emergency battery pack ensures the MLS can operate autonomously for at least 24 hours in case of power failure or emergency situations.
LED DISPLAY / VMS:
The LED displays or Variable Message Signs (VMS) feature cutting-edge technology compliant with EN 12966 standards, offering a resolution of 48×48 pixels with a 20mm pixel pitch. Each display cabinet measures 1024 x 1024 x 150 mm (HxWxD) and is mounted on the installation’s boom. They are serviced via two rear-hinged doors. Energy and wiring are efficiently routed through cable guides within the mast and boom structure. Sounders beneath the displays are equipped with sturdy symbols for clear visibility and communication.
