Remarkable Test Performance
A Trailer Truck Mounted Attenuator (TTMA) is designed to safely control and reduce the impact of vehicles striking the rear of a truck. TTMAs have been used since the mid-1970s to protect highway maintenance crews.
HOW THE BLADE-TTMA WORKS
The patented BLADE-TTMA is engineered for maximum safety and efficiency. It consists of the following core components:
- Two galvanised steel CUT and BEND mechanisms
- Two aluminium energy-absorbing tube sections and H-beams
- A steel support structure for secure attachment to the truck
- Standard LED trailer lighting system
- A steel axle with two wheels
Once attached to the rear of a truck, the frame assembly is designed to collapse in a controlled manner when impacted by a vehicle. The complete BLADE-TTMA system allows fast and effortless attachment or removal, thanks to the built-in jockey wheel.

This design is protected by patents in Europe (EP3414397), the United States (US9739328), China (201780012010-9), and Hong Kong (1259882).
